I guess in terms of leftist undertones, this search could be expanded to any fantasy story without money or class-based rulers or such, either because it’s pre those things (tribal communism) or just isn’t present in the story. So not princess fairytales or stuff like that, but something like magical spirits or animals living it up in the forest. Warrior Cats, Watership Down, Farthing Wood, Redwall seems pretty collectivist too, and last but not least Ori and the Blind Forest all come to mind for the latter.

Thoughts? Familiar with any of those I mentioned? I’ve never heard a(nother) communist mention any of them and I’m curious what the opinions are.
