I had much doubts and not tried even first part. Namely about the 8 protagonists. They are probably getting little time to flesh the characters out. I remember Suikoden 3 also did this, but only had 3 main and 1 side protagonist and it was the worst game in series, precisely because all the jumping and not enough focus.
The gameplay was fun enough, the story is very mediocre, the dialogue is hot trash fire, “go tuck yourself” really feel like it’s marketed towards 9 to 12 year olds and as someone approaching 30 it just feel out of place to play it.
Maybe for a lot of people it was, but for me even the premise seems uninteresting. Generally i don’t like multiple protagonists in rpg, for example i only played like 1/3rd of first Agarest game, when the generation changed i momentally lost interest, i like longer and more consistent narrations. The games are not long enough to play such stunts.

Supposedly, the first Octopath Traveler was pretty good.

Oh damn lol sounds too “Nintendo” for its own good.
I don’t mind silly dialogue, but yeah, sounds like the game should be more serious haha

Fair enough.
