    At least China has concrete plans that it’s actively implementing while western countries just keep talking about the problem without taking any action. I think it’s also important to keep in mind that per capita energy consumption in China are already less than half of western nations, and even below what 2000 watts which was found to be a good benchmark for sustainable consumption. Finally, lot of pollution in China is also driven by consumer demand in the west.

    Overall, I completely agree with you though. It’s just kind of depressing to know what’s coming in a few years and watch most major nations completely ignore the problem.
