There’s a record of Hamas using ambulances to transport fighters, as Israel claims. Most of these incidents are covered in Israeli newspapers which I’m sure plenty of people will write off as biased, but a quick search brings up even the Journal of Emergency Medical Services talking about it during a previous conflict: https://www.jems.com/operations/ambulances-vehicle-ops/hamas-tried-hijack-ambulances/

It doesn’t make sense to attack ambulances specifically to kill civilians: doing so kills relatively few people and looks terrible in the international news.

Nor does it make sense to go to the west bank and shoot random Palestinians, or to use white phosphorus in incredibly densely populated areas, or bomb an entire refugee camp twice to maybe kill one bad guy, yet here we are.

It does if your intent is to terrorize a group of people into complete submission.

You were so close to actual awareness there, so very close.

Let’s see… Red Cross accuses Israeli forces of killing two ambulance workers (2006) https://doi.org/10.1136%2Fbmj.39041.573403.DB

“This is not the first incidence of paramedics being attacked by the IDF, not the second, and unfortunately not the last,” said Maskit Bendel, director of projects for Physicians for Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. “As early as 2002, during Operation Defensive Shield, we were forced to file three petitions against the IDF for hitting medical teams while they were evacuating the sick and injured. Consequently the IDF promised not to hit the teams while they were doing their work, and even to help them, but this did not happen.”

So while it doesn’t make sense to non-genocidal people, Israel has been doing this for decades. Please admit you are mistaken and they have enough US military technology and their own intelligence to undeniably know who they are targeting and killing in ambulances. There are so many documented examples, it boggles the mind comments like yours can exist.

It makes sense when you consider that the goal is to terrorize a populace, and not to engage with enemy combatants
