Right, but the phenomenon of private military contractors operating in Africa and conflict regions lacking state sovereignty is a reality and is important for geopolitic studies.
Given the biased nature of this United24, they of course would reduce the discussion to Russia’s Wagner Group. But it obviously extends to other states including the US, UK, France, Germany…
There’s also a Hong Kong-based PMC, Frontier Services Group, tied to Blackwater (an American PMC) which aims to “helping Chinese businesses to work safely in Africa.” (Wikipedia)
