    Is it really predicting NFTs or was it predicting things like fiat currency? NFTs are simply an extension of fiat currency taken to a whole new level.

      It basically summarizes to “They’ll run out of room to expand to so will start expanding into the imaginary” coughmetaversecough

      Also imagine he would have been cool with fiat seeing as how it’s a pretty effective way to represent the value of work being done. The only real umbrage he throws in its direction is the fact that employees aren’t being paid the full value of their work, and that’s not entirely fiat’s fault. The Leninists tried communicating the value of work with labour vouchers instead of fiat, but that was their own contribution, not Marx.

      No communist has a problem with employees being paid, quite the opposite. They want to stop people from stealing the pay of workers. Eventually it gets to the point where we’re so post-scarcity and people are so naturally willing to work that it stops being necessary to pay people at all (since they’ll do it on their own) and once that happens you’ve successfully evolved from socialism into full blown communism.
