Wonderful. Gift Circles would lend themselves perfectly to be implemented for the Fediverse, where anyone can spin up circles in their local region or with specific themes. The maintainer of Karrot is involved with the new intiative to investigate federating of Hospitality Exchange platforms. Their platform might be a good candidate, and if there are other platforms willing to engage a similar initiative for gift economy may form.
