for sure
I could see a progression to where people use they/them as a form of linguistic politeness towards people that they don’t explicitly know the pronouns/gender of, which English doesn’t have a whole lot of.
I feel represented by genderless father
I theythemm everyone as much as possible. It is so much easier than typing “he/she” and “his/hers”, etc. as I would do previous to neutral pronouns being normalized. Literally nobody has taken offense by my use of they/them. I’ve had many instances where I have accidentally misgendered someone, especially when dealing with non-Western names, but not since I started using they/them.
10/10. Would theythemm again
Isn’t this very close to what dronerights got banned for? Saying that they/them is not a gendered pronoun set when in fact it is the pronouns for nonbinary people?

Thank you, it’s still hard for me to order the categories correctly in my head.

I agree, that was very much a “last straw” situation.
I’m nonbinary transfem, use she/her exclusively and view they/them as misgendering me because these are not my fucking pronouns. Nonbinary people aren’t a monolith, nonbinary isn’t a gender, it’s a catchall term for an infinite number of gender identities and expressions and we go by all kinds of pronouns. If i wouldn’t tell people i’m nonbinary, it would be impossible to tell the difference between me and a “binary trans woman”, whatever that is.
