I’m beginning to think these Hamas folks aren’t very nice.
Well like it or not they’re running palestine now.
Only Gaza. About half of the population of Palestine is the in the West Bank, and Hamas doesn’t run that
Time will tell I guess. I don’t have a horse in this race so it’s just me and my opinions here.
I fact check all newspapers I’m not familiar with. Here’s this one’s reputability (great!): https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/statesman-journal/
Personal comment:
Hamas stealing fuel and medical equipment from the poor to treat only their own fighters? Here’s my shocked face:
You fact check a newspaper by… Looking at another website?
The UN denied any knowledge of this.
They first confirmed, then removed that and posted denial.
Man it would have been great if the UN’s cameras had been operating, but they were damaged in a airstrike. Which means the UN compound was air struck. It seems to be the bigger story here…
Oof
“UNRWA received reports that yesterday a group of people with trucks purporting to be from the Ministry of Health of the de facto authorities in Gaza, removed fuel and medical equipment from the Agency’s compound in the Gaza City,”
Given that Hamas is the de facto authority in Gaza, this cannot be Hamas lmfao
Otherwise, Hamas made no effort to disguise who they were, which is even funnier
“Hamas Ministry of Health” reminds me of the Taliban members complaining about office work
supprised Pikachu face
There isn’t any indication that it was Hamas that stole the stuff? It just that people pretending to be the health authority stole stuff. Could’ve been some selfish asshole civilians who stole shit for themselves when they knew they were likely not priority for that aid.
The UN had supplies for a humanitarian crisis. 1+ million people are being evacuated, and more bombs have now been dropped than an entire year in Afghanistan. Is this not a humanitarian crisis?
If Hamas is the government, and the aid is there, then the government has received the aid that the UN delivered?
I’m sure there’s more to this, that’s not mentioned, but the context is odd.
Hamas does occupy governmental positions, but they’re also demonstrably linked to terrorist actions which they take full responsibility for, and I think that takes precedence for most people. With that, many of us are reticent to call them a government.
To your point though, if we can trust wikipedia and if I’m reading it correctly, the ministry of health in Gaza seems to also be under Hamas governance, so I’m not sure who else you’d deliver the foreign aid too.
but they’re also demonstrably linked to terrorist actions which they take full responsibility for
Redgren Grumbholdt
Other countries, including New Zealand, deem only Hamas’ military wing, which is called the Qassam Brigades, to be a terrorist group. The U.N. has not designated any part of the organization as a terrorist group.
Yet another Hamas apologist. yawn
And you’re not an Israeli apologist? They haven’t agreed with either side, they simply said both are entitled to medical care, is that truly thought provoking.
The UN deleted the tweet and deny that it actually happened. Yet these news articles ignore that. But that doesn’t match with your extremely biased view. Genocide apologist?
Eh fuel and medicine doesn’t help Hamas kill more people. So who cares. And yeah they might use meds to patch up militants, but guess what, laws of war state that wounded soldiers are allowed medical help.
Fuel absolutly helps to kill more people. And wounded soldiers are allowed medical help but those medicines were for the civilians.

What the hell kind of shit take is this? This article has nothing to do with the US. As eager as you
may beare (after checking post history you have a hardon for asshole comments about the US) to shit all over our government at every opportunity, this story isn’t one of them.Removed by mod
Go fuck yourself. I’m not the one raging about the US in every other comment I write.
Even worse, he assumes all Americans eat Snickers.
Go fuck yourself.
I’m not the one raging
And here is exhibit A, it demonstrates cognitive dissonance and a lack of emotional regulation.
Why weren’t the supplies properly secured? This was going to happen otherwise.
Love all the downvotes from people who have no concept of opsec. Please keep making excuses for them.
My goodness the hivemind has migrated. Pointing out a mistake is apparently a grave error.
They were. If you had read the article, Hamas posed as government workers to gain access, and the security cameras that look over the compound were damaged in Israeli airstrikes.
Hamas is the government so how can they pose as government workers?
I did read the article. How is that not part of properly securing the supplies exactly? Not properly vetting people is a security issue.
It’s a war zone?
And?
Everything is fubar
Indeed it is.
The supplies were not properly secured, with security systems, cameras, and fences because the compound which stored the supplies had airstrike damage.
Who is more liable in the situation, it’s hard to say

The intel was Israel and they sat on it and let this happen.
Hamas stealing supplies was expected. It has nothing to do with supply line attacks.
It’s all the UNs fault!
Bahaha wow
Like I said, not my fault you and so many others have no concept of opsec. Well done summing it up though.
No, I was mocking you. Good job on absorbing that without acknowledging the fact you’re a laughing stock.
The ignorant one is mocking me? What a concept. Quit wasting my time. The UN made a mistake and you and several others are crying that it was pointed out.
You were also so thirsty for validation that you went through my posts and replied to a response from a different thread to a different person assuming it was you. So now you can also go fuck yourself.
it is I, THE IGNORANT ONE! who happens to be on the same forum as thee
lol get bent chump.
