Felipe Andres Coronel (born February 19, 1978), better known by the stage name Immortal Technique, is an American rapper and activist. Most of his lyrics focus on controversial issues in global politics, from a radical left-wing perspective.

    Yeah, he also did all those songs where he uses the f slur. Such range! What an amazing artists!

      If all you want to do is sneer, you’ve got things figured out, but having reactionary elements doesn’t mean he has nothing of value to say and, while his affect has some backwards elements of his culture, what he actually discusses is often radically progressive.

        You’re right. I was being an ass. Tbh, the root of it is how much he gets right just makes it so his homophobia hurt more. I shouldn’t use that to take away from his insights though.

          I appreciate the self-crit. The homophobia really does suck and I share some disappointment over it. Ironically (?), I have a similar thought on Stalin, who gets pinned with false shit all the time to try to undermine his radical progressivism but – unlike those false accusations – was genuinely personally homophobic to a surprising extent. He was more dismissive of gay socialists than he was even of Trots, as far as I can tell.
