When this came out when I was a kid, what I really wanted was the recent Mario movie.

Haven’t checked out the rough cut restoration project but the movie needs a real director’s cut version. It’s a classic and before its time
I watched this version a while ago and wrote a review. I really enjoyed it and I think the extra scenes actually improved the film.
Yeah I mean maybe the overall structure of the movie wasn’t quite there, but the end scene with the Nintendo executives really ties it together.
