On an individual level, I’m not sure if you can do much other than just educating them about how its wrong. If that behavior is looked as “SJW” in your circle, just shaming them may work- that only edgy children use autism as an insult.

Tell me about it. I’ve never taken holidays for resting, I only ever taken them for sick leave not to lose a job to sick leave (I still got my contract not prolonged when I had major complications after a surgery and nearly died because I was off work for a month even though I was one of the most efficient if not the most efficient and committed workers. I hate ableism so much. Alongside the prejudice against the homeless and the people perceived as non-local it’s one of the three worst bigotries in the world while also being by far the least spoken about. :/
