If you remove Voldemort and Harry, the Harry Potter series is actually a pretty well done depiction of a liberal society sliding into fascism. Allowing militant racist groups to run free without challenge, putting people like Umbrage in positions of power: that’s how the actual fascism gets done, not evil snake monster men.
