Do you know where your Covid-19 vaccine card is? If not, you may want to track it down, because getting a new one could be tricky.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is no longer distributing the white cards that were given out with Covid-19 vaccines earlier in the pandemic, according to the agency’s website.

The CDC notes that it does not keep vaccination records and says recipients should contact their state health department’s immunization information system (IIS) if they want to keep track of their Covid-19 shots.

oh. What was that, Covid-conspiracists? I couldn’t hear you. Those stupid white cards were the goddamn yellow stars you fuckin psychos?!

Jesus Christ. We all saw this coming. When those cards weren’t used for…anything…outside of specialized jobs or strict businesses that wanted to keep their employees safe when interacting with the public, we could all easily remember this is the US. Public health would take a back seat as soon as it wasn’t politically expedient. And here we are. Not a jackboot fauci super soldier in sight. you want a Covid booster? That’ll be $200 plz.

Yeah, I got my booster last week and they didn’t ask for my card and I forgot to take it out at the time because it was a family thing and I was dealing with my daughter’s nervousness, so apparently they no longer give a shit.

It would be in your state medical records. I believe the card was just to show proof of vaccination during the pandemic domestic or international. All my vaccinations are under my MRN (medical record number) so the card serves no purpose.

I lost my first one. I guess that means I could have passed it on to someone else without even knowing.

Only used mine once when crossing the border from USA to Canada for vacation. There are digital records so the cards are basically not needed.
