They were there at the request of the legitimate government!

Fuck, declassified documents revealed that they didn’t even want to assist the Afghani government. They were forced to respond to the US-backed terrorists that were destroying the country and threatening to establish a hostile government.

      Learn literally anything.

You tell me since this entire chain of comments is dedicated to your expertise of “Was that before or after they invaded Afghanistan”

Either start expounding on the subject or get expunged for knowing nothing on the subject but squawking pre-programed talking points like a tickle-me elmo doll

Lol, you’re really mad at me for pointing out the obvious contradiction between calling the USSR peaceful and their imperialist behavior.

Expunge me! Straight to the gulag!

(Edit) Hello from the gulag! I’d respond to the other comments, but you cowards banned me. For the record, the USSR openly murdered the DPRA’s head of state and then installed a puppet. Such peace.

(Edit 2) Tell me more about the self defense of colonized people! Reactionary ideologues simping for imperialist autocratic regimes is my favorite thing to shit on.

Were you under the impression your entire life that the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to fight the Afghan government and that America was giving weapons to the Afghan government?

Soviets entered Afghanistan to assist the Afghan government, their ally, who correctly deduced that the terrorists in their country were being supported by the CIA.

Confused as ever, the stranded liberal is confronted with things that shatter its perceptions of reality. As a reflex, it employs its natural survival mechanism, the playground antics.

Yeah combating the overthrow of a native socialist government by western/pakistani armed, acid throwing religious zealots is “imperialism”

Like do even read the trash you just type out, or is it a case of throwing whatever intuition-brained nonsense at the wall and seeing what sticks

Great job reading the Wikipedia page right before your edit loser like the DRA’s head of state is a revelation instead of the butt of the joke everywhere from here to some communist alcoholic’s podcast with 13 listeners.

Still waiting for you to lecture us on history instead of flailing around holding onto your idea of peace like a little toddler

You’re right John Lennon, the urban Afghanis should hold out flowers and remind the Mujahideen what peace is all about.

So surprising that an Angloid views the self defense of colonized peoples with contempt and condescension and calls submitting to American armed death squads the “peaceful” option.

Great on you for playing the pacifist with the Indians, cowboy. You should play pacifist with the Holocaust in your next argument.
