No to top sheets, box spring, and frame. Wash your blanket enough = no top sheet. Still need a sheet under you. There are matressess that are made to not have box springs, but you can’t use them with the common cheap frames made to support box springs. Don’t need a ‘bed frame’ but your mattress shouldn’t be permanently on the floor. Up to you how to achieve that.

That’s a basic “adulting” bed setup.

Some bed frames are a platform type and do not need a boxspring.

You should get a mattress with a thick pillow top. It’ll be soft and comfy.

Box springs are going out of fashion. Mattress with pillow tops are very tall nowadays anyway. Look at low profile platform beds.

Get good quality pillows and make sure the pillowcases are big enough.

Try to make your bed every morning if possible. It does wonders for your mood when it’s bedtime, to see a nicely made bed all ready to go.

Wash sheets often. I use the fitted sheet on the mattress and lay the flat sheet on top. I don’t sleep under the flat sheet because it’s not comfortable.

Instead I use a rather heavy down douvet with replaceable douvet covers. The weight of the douvet makes it easier to fall asleep. The down makes it warm in the winter and not so hot in the summer. I was the cover once a week, or more often if I’m having company.

The key thing is your mattress not being on the floor, and your mattress always being covered by a fitted sheet at least.
