You cant afford paying half rent? You cant afford going to eat out together, to go on trips or to buy gifts? Do you know that you can only keep them company, give them your love and emotions, but you know that doesnt set you apart from the herd?

    Considering calling things off with my gf because of exactly this. She has wealthy family and so, so many other things I don’t. It can definately affect the balance of power for sure…

    Plenty of great date ideas are free. Many museums around me have a free day once or twice a month, for example. And those that don’t offer free admission to people with SNAP/Medicaid. Or go out for happy hour and you can just get a cheap appetizer and a cheap drink, probably get away with spending $10-15

    If you have hobbies in common, those are great cheap ways to bond

        Because a relationship feels really good at first, then that feeling dissipates, and more often than not, ends in disaster, and makes you feel worse than you started.
