    NSW Police has had the device in operation for about 10 years, but Acting Commissioner Hudson said the use of the firearm is relatively uncommon.

    Ms Lee said its use was commonly in the United States for crowd control purposes such as protests, or like in this instance, for welfare checks.

    Love that our police are known for commonly using weapons in welfare checks.
