Edit: for instance, take a look at any article about a trans artist. The article will always talk about how the person is a trans artist. Is the subject of the art transness? Doesn’t matter, they’re still a trans artist and not an artist. This fucking sucks.
This was what I was thinking as well. I call every trans person I know just by their preferred gender without the trans part, as that makes the most sense.
