DuckDuckGo uses quite a few sources for their results. Bing is among them but also Yahoo! Search BOSS, Wolfram Alpha, Yandex and about 400 more, including their own webcrawler. DuckDuckGo also explicitly filters out and down ranks content mills, pages with too much advertising and pages that are deemed to have low journalistic standards.
