Sorry, I was unclear. The cardboard box/$1800 thing was an exaggeration of how I expect the future to go. While i’m paying a lot, it isn’t nearly that much. That being said I don’t have a whole lot of options when it comes to places to live here anyway. Even with roommates, this city can be absurdly expensive. That being said I have currently lucked out. The place I live isn’t perfect but I have a great roommate and it’s rent controlled and utilities (minus internet) are included. I am extremely lucky to have what I have on that front.
Oh that’s what I’m paying an inner city apartment that has a mice/mold/insect problem and like the doors don’t close cause the frame and walls are cracked and lopsided… LoL I hate that pretty much every apartment is a flop house at luxury prices.
