these don’t save, the save button does nothing:

even foreign brackets fail

non-brackets also fail, and look stupid

this one “saves” but never appears, and when I go back to settings it’s gone:

meanwhile, variants of he and she both work
it’s like they have some kind of regex filter lol
you could try getting rid of whitespaces and picking out parts of your username (especially repeated parts) to make space for the pronouns in your display name to fit the super restrictive 20 letter character limit imposed by lemmy software 😔

I currently have they/them not in brackets and it fits. Idk if it has federated over.
