    I think the writers were doing the opposite. Gordon, like Batman, are peter Griffin-esque baffoons in the show. Baffoons are generally given a pass for embodying offensive ideas in fiction.

    Some may take it as an endorsement, but the source saying it on such regurgitated, talking point terms was skewing the actual capitalist idea that it’s always right to just take the fucking money, even from the legion of doom.

      Yeah, it is a joke. I was pointing out how capitalism says what he is saying as a form of brainwashing. But it was satire in the show.

      I wonder if those same people would think the guy who delivered the series’ opening monologue was the good guy?
