The anime glossed over some things in the manhwa, but the story still flows nicely and nothing important was cut except for perhaps shinsu training. Since the anime uses the new art style, reading early manhwa chapters can be rough if you get distracted by the visuals, but I’d recommend it.

I absolutely loved the first season.

As an anime only viewer, I thoroughly enjoyed TOG. I wouldn’t dare call anything about it new or revolutionary, but I was intrigued by the world building. I picked up the webtoon right after the last adapted chapter, and things seem (up to chapter 132 at least) to be engaging. I don’t know how well the series matures though.
