(Works best for fleas since they’re usually a summer pest, when that 90° weather is avaliable, but works for other things if the opportunity arises.
I wouldn’t want to invite bedbugs into my car even if the temp should crest the ~125°F needed to kill the eggs. I’d go to a laundromat and throw it in the dryer and run it several times
apparently it’s practically impossible for me to catch bedbugs from a patient as a nurse. I can’t do my shoes in the dryer like that. I also couldn’t have done my leather jacket like that when my roomates caught me some fleas. Hot car is a fab solution in certain specific situations.

I dunno, I feel like I might be weeding out the fleas that can’t handle the heat, and creating super fleas that will continue their lineage.
Bedbugs can handle 90°F just fine. You need to sustain at least 125°F for at least four hours to really desiccate them.
90 degrees outside the car? The inside of that car is gonna BAKE. And 2 hours before and after high noon ain’t shit. cook those hoes.
125°F for four hours is needed to kill the eggs too.
Putting the items in the oven at 200f for a few hours should do the trick.
If you have access to a sauna, that’s a great option, too. Especially if you need to heat some bugs when the weather is chilling 80° F or less…
