That’s why you buy a thinkpad - mine dropped several times down. Just a bit clippedy dew and a restart and everything is fine, again.

Or in my case, my Thinkpad T490 is absolutely brain dead and shuts itself down / crashes during idle sleep mode every time.

Similarly, my Yoga C930 battery drained in 2 days while powered off and fingerprint scanner stops working after waking from sleep.

      Lenovo used to be good…

“Ivan the Terrible and his son Ivan”

“It depicts the grief-stricken Russian tsar Ivan the Terrible cradling his dying son, the Tsarevich Ivan Ivanovich, shortly after the elder Ivan had dealt a fatal blow to his son’s head in a fit of anger. The painting portrays the anguish and remorse on the face of the elder Ivan and the gentleness of the dying Tsarevich, forgiving his father with his tears.”

It’s one of my favorite paintings

It’s really hard to see in this image, but they’re definitely there in higher definition pictures

I think they were referring to the younger Ivan crying because he’s in pain, not because he’s forgiving his father.

You do, but its generally a lot less than repairs or a new laptop. I’ll give you my example… My laptop is a 2021 Razer 14 The power port had a broken connector on the inside, and since the way it was made the port was part of the motherboard, the repairs for that power port were going to be over $1700 on a $2300 laptop.

Renters insurance was definitely the less painful option. Just one of those things that may only be useful on rare occasions, but when it is, it really is.

Interesting! I’m only familiar with home owners insurance and car insurance, and those are typically between $500-1000. Thanks for sharing your experience.

That’s the reason why my laptop has a big dent by the hinge. I do plan on getting that fixed eventually.

Absolutely. Unlike you, your mother made a massive one giving birth to you. I can only begin to imagine her devastation when she sees the nasty goblin she produced
