    The way I see it is, at least for my work, I can go cheap and use windows which is hit or miss hardware and crap OS or you can pay for MacOS and at least have something reliable and high quality hardware.

    Both take your data.

    I use Linux for my personal machine, but it’s sadly not an option for the software I need for my work. I checked regularly and the moment their is a Linux client for the software in use, I will switch over.

      Could it be possible in your case to isolate windows apps in a VM on Linux?

        That’s essentially what I’m doing by just using a second computer with windows for work. I very occasionally need to be mobile for work so the laptops windows and work and the desktop is Linux.

        But in the past I have used a vm for work.
