Not too different from the liberal myth that people are inherently selfish, so we have to have a capitalist police state, sorry.

Socialism can never be left uncontested by bourgeois states because it would prove that, given the opportunity, humans can cooperate. The tendency of children to share, to selflessly give to others, would be understood as natural and not an aberration that has to be corrected.

The bourgeoisie wins if people are alienated and distrust one another.

Even if you can’t base a government around socialism because of “human nature” or whatever (just arguing on their behalf here) it still proves that capitalism doesn’t have to be a totalizing socially dominant ideology for society to exist and we aren’t in some kind of eternal man-against-man forever war.

Like even if the cooperative model falls apart at scale and you need firmer hierarchies and shit when organizing millions of people the success of state socialist programs like China proves that that the entire society doesn’t have to brutally compete to force social darwinist bullshit to succeed.

It turns out you don’t need petty small business tyrants to have a fuckin grocery store.
