it seems like admitting you shop from temu is actually somewhat taboo in gen z. i remember someone in my class mentioned shopping there and the girls she was talking with gave her a funny look and were like, “don’t they use child labor?” not to mention, whenever you open the comment section on a temu ad/sponsorship on tiktok or insta, the comments are full to the brim with people accusing them of slavery.
on the other hand, i’ve seen videos with hundreds of thousands of likes making “dark humor” jokes like “these little kids better be working overtime so i get my package on time” or “when you get a note begging for help in your temu package but it came 3 days late,” which honestly made me stomach churn at how sociopathic the ultra treatlerists are. don’t get me started on the shein addicts, GO TO A THRIFT STORE IF UR BROKE YET WANT A NEW OUTFIT EVERY WEEK!

Where do they think Walmart and Amazon get their stuff? Everything is made in China these days. Even most of the stuff “made in the US” is actually made in China first, but then they merely assemble it in the US (Milwaukee tools)
