Two Israeli soldiers were killed, and six others were wounded after a gunman opened fire at close range on an IDF post at the Tayasir checkpoint in the Jordan Valley, West Bank.

Two are in moderate-to-serious condition, while the remaining soldiers were lightly wounded.

According to the IDF, the attacker arrived overnight at the post’s entrance near the checkpoint, armed with an M-16 and wearing a military vest. He opened fire at the rooms inside the IDF post.
