    The Mescalero Apache Tribe in New Mexico announced that a member was confronted by ICE agents last week and was asked for ID — first in Spanish, although the member spoke English.

    In case the racism wasn’t obvious enough.

    These tribes know what is at stake here. Trump’s arguments against birthright citizenship is based on old, invalid arguments that put their own citizenship at risk. Imagine the Supreme Court wiping out citizenship for millions of Native Americans with one decision – it could happen.
