“often i’m asked, what if the world was made of pudding, and now we know, if you go into the geological research on this, we know the world isn’t made of putting, but people are still obsessed with this, so i think, okay, imagine the world was made of pudding, first of all, agriculture, which we’ve been doing as a species for longer than recorded history, we wouldn’t be able to FARM, we wouldn’t be able to plant crops or anything like that! and if anything, if the world were made of pudding and somehow no one had realized this, uh, abundant food source sitting right under their feet, then there wouldn’t be enough food to sustain all humanity, let alone other animals. so i think in some ways it’s a very illuminating question but chuckles perhaps not quite in the way these people think.”
