    They don’t want anyone to go anywhere without being extra nice. It’s not car centered city, it’s a huge prison.

    Those roads are probably for police and military so they can arrive quickly in case of invasion or citizens becoming uppity.

      Sure, but that thing is 4 lanes in either direction. That’s a lot of asphalt for a whole bunch of nothing.

    I don’t think it’s illegal. The amount of citizen with access to enough wealth to own a car is just relatively low

      Private car ownership is highly restricted. You only have access to a car if you are a party member, are conducting business for the party, or are well connected.

      Their society is very localized and travel is restricted(you need a permit to leave your county), trains and bicycles are how you move about if you aren’t walking.

    LOL, if one can afford a car in NK, it must be a dream to drive it. Roads as wide as in California with none of the traffic.
