(Refried beans)
Conveniently, this post was in my feed just a page or two later. You got a bug up your derriere, Nougat?
Sometimes the treasure map has two X’s on it.
no
bread is flour with yeast and water leavened via fermentation then baked.
chips are corn masa or wheat flour made into a dough with water with no yeast and not fermented then fried and salted.
why do people think that leaving out facts between things makes them the same thing ?
If my grandmother had wheels, she’d be a bicycle.
But tortillas are considered an unleavened bread, bread in the most general term is just flour and water.
DOES YOUR GRANDMOTHER HAVE WHEELS???
HELL YEAH BROTHER, CRANK THAT GRANDMOTHER! AROOO
Every time Grandma comes over, the intro drum riff from Hot For Teacher plays.
I’m not legally obligated to answer that question.
Morally though, you should
That’s like saying tea is just hot leaf water.
we all cook our hot leaf water in the microwave like everyone else
Tea is soup.
Tea is broth. You remove the solids.
Matcha might count as soup, though.
Are Boba dumplings?
Ooh, valid question! I think I have to say yes, because traditional dumplings weren’t filled the way most are today, they were just a boiled or fried starch. Tapioca starch is mixed with boiling water to create boba, so, if you have a boba tea, that becomes soup again because you have added dumplings to your broth.
I’m not angry with you, but I am afraid that you’ve lost your way.
Whey is juice.
Ain’t no whey
That makes as much sense as anything.
Isn’t rye bread basically whisky?
Old, wet barley bread is Scotch.
There is some great scotch coming out of Japan these days
Whiskey, not Scotch, but yes, there are some really good ones.

Wait … wait –
Tortilla chips and frijoles refritos is just sparkling beans on toast.
If you like your toast to be made of corn and unleavened, sure.
Corn makes bread, and there are flour tortillas.
So is cheese flavoured popcorn a grilled cheese sandwich to you? The ingredients alone don’t make a dish, the method of preparation matters as well.
Now that you mention it …
Isn’t beans on toast just a taco?
Tostada perhaps
Not according to the cube rule
Two gripes about on the cube rule; It doesn’t readily differentiate between topology of a dish and a single serving. It could very well add more dimensions to the identification model besides topology, there are plenty of other factors that define the portability and experience of eating a food (let’s face it, that’s what the debate of identification was really about this whole time.)
