The liberal worldview offers no solutions, only shame. “We” are responsible for climate change and the planet is dying and nothing can be done about it because the people’s only option is to “vote.” We can do nothing but feel bad about how bad everything is and how much of our own fault it is.
By contrast, the conservative/conspiracy theory worldview offers a cause and solution. They are causing this problem, so if we get rid of Them then we fix this problem. It’s not that the narrative is simple (in fact a lot of conspiracy theories are extremely complex and dense) it’s that it offers a solution and course of action, it gives people meaning and understanding (however false) in a complex world.
Our goal as leftists is to educate, we offer the same thing that the conservative viewpoint does, solutions and courses of action, except our solutions will actually fix the problem instead of attacking scapegoats and chasing shadows.
I actually think material reality can be just as compelling as the fake conspiracy theories, but lib media doesnt really do material analysis. Instead they try to soften the truth and hide certain facts so that in the end there is no satisfying solution. E.g. they won’t come out and say we need to regulate these companies that create 80% of our fossil fuel emissions, instead we need to all individually do better and buy less treats

Since never but it’s about the best you’re going to get out of them to say yeah climate change is real and fossil fuels are bad. But their solution to the problem is to vote for Kamala while the right wants to put black people into camps.
What they do is pick and choose what things do and don’t get treated to material analysis. They’ll analyze the physics and chemistry, but they’ll quarantine political economy and history away from any kind of mat-analysis. Those can only be analyzed with vibes.
