University of Melbourne researchers have discovered that the sentinels guarding the healthy human cornea from pathogens and inflammation are T cells, and not another type of immune cells called dendritic cells, as previously thought.

    I guess in TLDR: We previously thought the immune cells were dendritic but turns out they are t-cells. They apparently move very quickly around the cornea. This discovery changes how we understand eye deseases and allergic reactions.

    I read it rather quickly so please correct me if something is missing.
