I cannot believe that this happened after i graduated highschool lol I was thinking that it was while I was in middle school… I think I remember seeing it on like CNN or something and that was, and is, sooooo fucking to me to see it on Serious News Channel
I was stilling in primary school (elementary school) in New Zealand. We woke up to it being all over the news. We then went to school and first thing we had an assembly in the hall so the principal could make a statement about it. How crazy is that?
Omg do you remember what the statement was at all? That is wild to me, I could never imagine something like that happening in a US school. We are so ignorant of world news/politics, it’s embarrassing
I think it was something like:
“Yes I know it was pretty disturbing what happened in the US today but let’s try to just treat today like any other day. We will be offering council long to students with family in New York etc.”
