Without Ukraine Russia is just another big country, with Ukraine they are a super power. This has been the case since 1700s. Russia will destroy itself before Ukraine will be free.

Hence why geopolitics analyst keep repeating Russia already lost since they wont get Ukraine in condition they it need it.
