Why is a dairy herd worse than a beef herd? Is it because of the wasted resources from continual pregnancy and culling the calves?
Either that or there’s less protein for some reason.
Oh that makes more sense, less protein in milk than beef.
Milk is also on the list, so It’s specifically about the meat. Likely because of breeding for specific traits and lifespan, so a dairy cow would be kept alive longer (more greenhouse gases) and have a lower yield. I don’t like how I phrased that, but I hope my point comes across.
