Democrats cannot fail. They can only be failed. It’s 2024 and they’re defending Hillary’s honor against imaginary PhD Anarcocellerationists.

Trump Derrangement Syndrome is incredible.

I’d love to see a tally of the actual numbers of “dead folks” that occurred under Trump admin vs. Biden admin—guessing Ukraine and Gaza might tip the scales a wee bit.

But I’m guessing that’d be a moot point , because she likely doesn’t give a shit about “dead folks” that are brown or outside the US beyond some performative virtue signaling.

Also: even when making what they intend to be a macabre point, they can’t help but use the ‘ol’ folks. “Uhhh, we’re gonna drone strike some folks, folks”

tbf COVID killed a lot of people under Trump. Not saying it would’ve necessarily been better under anyone else, because it showed the US is totally ill equipped to handle a nationwide crisis covid-cool

This is a fair point—I sorta forgot about that, and it was definitely something like a million people + which is a very large number.

In terms of comparison, I guess you could say that the Covid numbers were partially unintentional, or indirect. I mean I know trumps a dumbass who recommended bleach, but there were still professionals at agencies, a vaccine got made, there were measures like work from home, isolation. So they could have done better, but their policy doesn’t look that horrible compared to the Biden one of “ok back to work and don’t pay attention to the 1k+ per week still dying”. The conflict deaths of the recent term have very much been a follow on effect of US foreign policy.

I don’t say any of this to try and prop Trump up, or let him off any hooks, but I can’t stand the two-faced rhetoric in stupid tweets like this, and a lot of the fear mongering they do is predicated on the idea that x will be worse if you don’t vote us in. Regardless of whether it’s their fault, a lot of very bad things have happened during their tenure, so I always wonder “in which ways will it be worse, and for whom?”

“Great man” theory right here. Liberals, ironically, give Trump way more credit that he deserves. The end of the US Empire would come about with or without trump. January 6th, or a moment like it, was inevitable. You can draw a straight-line between the formation tea-party and Jan 6th. A second civil rights movement (as seen with BLM) also inevitable. The right and left are both becoming more miltiant. And this is happening not because of Trump specifically but all the members of his class.

Seriously, conservatives have been agitating about election fraud and liberals ‘stealing’ elections for years with all the theories they spew (dead people are voting liberal/every illegal immigrant is voting liberal/people are voting twice for liberals/etc)

It was only a matter of time until they took that to a semi realized conclusion

Maybe we should view Trump as some sick kind of gift from the universe. How boring would hellworld be if that Pince or Pants or whatever the hell his vp’s name was lead the fascist resurgence? Trump, at least, is memeable so we can giggle while the light is crushed out of the world.

Didn’t the accelerationists vote for the Dems?

S’what I would do if I were one.

Also just read the tweet - No living person of my family older than me has a college degree. I was commenting in another thread here about how onion and chip sammiches are a fucking treat when I was a kid and regular onion sammiches with some black pepper, hotsauce and margerine if I can afford it are still a favourite of mine. Fuck this rich person.
