    It is unclear if officers patted Garcia down for weapons when he was handcuffed and placed in the police SUV, and whether officers followed proper protocol.

    “That is something that our administrative investigation is going to have to determine,” [the police chief] said.

    As always, all cops are still bastards. How do you not find a gun on someone’s person after they’re handcuffed? That’s such a disturbing level of incompetence.

      It’s uncommon for police to miss guns, but it happens. Sometimes those guns even end up shooting handcuffed people in squad cars.
