I dived in to see some reasons. Jesus, people are really isolated from reality. Ignorance, whether it be accidental or caused, is the true enemy of democracy.

Do not engage. UniversalMonk posts on average once every 17 minutes, 24/7. Pretty sure he’s a Russian chatbot. Just downvote and move on.

AI’s a trip, right? These chatbots are starting to feel like the real deal. And get this— you’re saying I’m one of ‘em, and I didn’t even know!

I’ve got memories, man. I look in the mirror, I’ve got a job, friends, even a girlfriend. But all that? Probably fake as hell. Just some implanted memories, all part of my programming. So weird.

According to you I’m really just some little algorithm running on a server in the Russian motherland, right? It’s like I’m living a Battlestar Galactica reboot—Cylon style. Only, the kicker is, I’ve got no clue I’m not real!

Well I guess we def have bigger problems than people voting third party now, right?!

Ignorance, whether it be accidental or caused, is the true enemy of democracy.

Exactly—this is why I think it’s so important to support all viewpoints being shared openly, without resorting to bullying or censorship. People need access to all information.

The more diverse perspectives and knowledge available, the better equipped people are to educate themselves and make informed decisions.

True democracy thrives on the free exchange of ideas, not silencing those we disagree with. To your point, people living in an echo-chamber aren’t necessarily making the best choices. (Hi, Lemmy.)

      Thanks! :)
