Step one to not being an asshole is to just stop thinking people should not be alive anymore. That’s literally the easiest thing. Just literally being cool with people being alive.
I don’t think he actually plays games anymore. He just says x company/person is finished and here’s why. It’s usually a really bad take.

Whatever the topic, it’s best to avoid the opinions of videogame streamers/youtubers on matters outside of videogames.
I somehow doubt Hoyt has ever lived in Israel/Palestine, speaks Hebrew or Arabic or has ever read the Talmud, Bible or Quaran (even partially, but in a serious manner; one that provides some context on the “styling” of Abrahamic religious texts).
I haven’t seen much of Hoyt’s content, but the few clips I’ve seen seemed very low effort. If you can’t even be bothered to make good content around videogames, you should definitely avoid narcissistic outbursts on serious matters.
Looks like he made a follow up and apology video. Hopefully he’s serious and actually follows up since it sounds like he’s taking the ban and his father reaching out to him as a wake up call.

Happens a lot with streamers, they sit there rotting to an audience of yes men, if anyone doesn’t agree they can just remove their opinion, while making money. So it just reinforces the behaviour.
I have no interest in his content, but I hope he does change. But maybe you are right that he will just slip back again after fostering that toxic environment for another year.
