I would definitely play Warcraft 2 remastered. I’ve played the version on GOG and it was solid, but a remastered version is always nice.
Haven’t played Warcraft 1 in over 25 years. Wouldn’t mind trying it for fun.

I am curious if the setting is (England, Scotland, Ireland) is fleshed out in terms of world-building and gameplay. I enjoy tycoons that do different countries/regions in a unique way.
I can strongly recommend this game. It’s has similarities to SimTower / Project Highrise, but with its own spin with a more detailed employee management system, custom item placing (this is is big in terms of gameplay impact) and casino-specific building elements. There is lot’s of stuff to focus own beyond the casino elements. Nice visual style as well.
While the current stable EA release is solid, the developer has been working on massive upgrade which should be released in the coming month. If you’re on the fence, I would suggest waiting for the next big update. That being said, the current version is also a lot of fun.
Wow, this is kind of thing that can make one reevaluate what methods are most appropriate when dealing with corruption and oligarchs.
If your opinion is identical to the corporate sourced PR copytext (not to mention the condescending style - “everyone knows”), then yes it is de facto PR work.
I will never understand when people engage in volunteer (i.e. unpaid) PR work for some random company.
Criticizing a company for lazy patent trolling (a patent for riding a mount?) is not engaging in “hate crimes against video games”.
Nintendo is welcome to release good products on multiple platforms (Palworld runs on PC) to compete with Palworld. Crazy idea, I know!
One would think I should patent the concept of releasing good games to compete with other companies, but out of the goodness of my heart I will release this unique idea into the public domain.

I personally do not support game design patents because that’s not how gaming works (and people who file such game design patents know this).
What are the other two patents like if you don’t mind me asking? Aiming in particular seems openly malicious (as do mounts to be honest).
I think this might be one of those situations where it just happens to look ML generated.
The devs don’t mention anything about using AI in their game. FWIW, I’ve seen several devs explicitly mention that their cover art (among other things) is “AI” generated in the AI disclaimer section of the steam store page.
From the translation of the claims, they appear to describe Pokémon-style activities, with ‘191 focused on the act of throwing a ball at characters in a field, ‘117 tied to aiming, and ‘390 on riding characters.
If this is indeed the case, the lawsuit is clearly illegitimate (in the real sense, can’t speak for legal nuances). Not surprising.
FWIW, a reply from the developer to a review bringing up the state of the 1.0 release:
Hey, we understand the frustration, but I just want to note there has been upwards of 30 updates since the initial release, and we are commited to doing more going forward. Given the resources we had available we are doing everything we can to bring the game to it’s potential.
The 1.0 release brings the game to a point we think is a unique and enjoyable experience. Expect more tweaks, changes and content going forward.
While I understand the frustrations around rough 1.0 releases, I also do sympathize with developers on this. If you’re sales are at ~10K units (and many indie games do a lot less than that), it makes sense to wrap a release that’s not getting much traction. Continues support is always nice though.

I’ve seen a few of the reviews talking about the game being abandoned, which I never quite understood. There was a few months without updates, but often preceded large updates. The game has come a long way since i first got it. Nearer its launch I couldn’t stomach more than an hour or two. It was a near concept but just shallow and not very good at drawing you in. Now, years later, I cant get enough. There are still some things to fix, and some ideas that could be better executed. BUT the claims that game game is abandoned are, at this point, completely incorrect. If you are flipping through reviews, please discard any ‘abandoned game’ reviews. Base it off of the other reviews of pro’s and cons.
I personally use GOG a lot. I’ve been meaning to add coverage for GOG releases, but it takes more time and most tycoon/management release on only on Steam.
Going to try out their demo. I love the visual style and classic 2.5 isometric perspective.
The seemingly low number of building model variants is a bit worrying; the demo should provide information on this.
I remember trying to replay Dune 2 a few years ago.
The lack of many QoL/UX refinements made it really difficult to play.
