Kris Kristofferson, a country singer-songwriter and actor who starred opposite Barbra Streisand in the 1976 A Star Is Born, has died at 88.

    In addition to being a phenomenal songwriter, this gentleman stood up for equality and progress in a very unwelcoming genre and time. The world is worse off without him in it. I hope we get some new movies about his life so younger people can see what a wonderful badass he was.
