    Just on gut instinct I bet there’s something screwy with any attempt to scientifically define and quantify “features” in a woman, or any person for that matter.

    My wife doesn’t look anything like my biological mother and has a very different ancestry, and Freud’s theories were cocaine-driven quackery, especially after his original “child abuse is the source of most mental problems” theories were rejected by his contemporary child abuse enjoyers and he had to swap to “sex pathologies are everything” and that was better received.

    I think people in general are attracted to people that look similar to themselves. This isn’t universal obviously it’s just a common correlation. And since you have your mom’s genetics a woman that looks similar to you will look similar to your mom.

    There’s a funny consequence of this where, if you separate siblings at a young age, they will never develop the revulsion towards each other that most siblings develop, and will be more likely to dig on each other if they meet as adults.
