    Deep strikes are very unlikely to change the course of the war in a direct military sense, but if ukraine does something stupid enough and Russia seriously escalates (I. E. actually declaring war, blowing up the Rada, attacking some nato target) then NATO may escalate in turn and get more directly involved. This kind of dice roll may redound to ukraine’s benefit.

    Also, deep strikes against Russian assets are good for ukrainian morale and PR, and they aren’t good for Russian stability. On that last point, I don’t think Putin is at risk for regime change, but more shit blowing up in Russia doesn’t help.

      Oh yeah updated with the archive, and agree that deep strikes won’t change anything. If they could, Russia would’ve won a long time ago since Russia’s been doing deep strikes into Ukraine throughout the war.
