I know that archive.is isn’t the best archive site since it uses Cloudflare, but the original article is now paywalled and the only archive on archive.org is also paywalled.

Genuinely curious: What is bad about Cloudfare? I really want to know about anything bad they do before I integrate their DNS into my homenet more

TLDR, Cloudflare is a surveillance operation that has cleverly positioned themselves to have visibility into a vast amount of web traffic, and is also a major irritant to anyone trying to protect their privacy while browsing the web by using things like Tor or VPNs (due to their constant pointless captchas). Please, say no to cloudflare!
