been doing estradiol injections for 2.5 weeks now, and there are noticeable changes already! unfortunately theyre mostly annoying lol. my nipples are super sensitive and my shirts are irritating them. also the meat of my breast (what little exists rn) is a bit tender. cant wait to get growth! gotta remember to take my multivitamin to keep my B12 and folic acid intake high
my dick dont work. it does actually but its harder to get it up :( i heard that continues until you add progesterone so im going to start P as soon as i get my first blood tests in a couple months. if anyone has good DIY source for prog powder pls DM me. its nice that i dont get random erections anymore tho
also my ejaculate is so thin and low volume. i thought it would take longer for sperm production to stop but ig thats good right?
i decided to change from enantate injection every two weeks to weekly. i did my first shot at 11 mg, but the last two were 5 mg. i feel good. it feels good to be working towards becoming myself
Oh I was told you should wait 6-12 months after starting E to start P. But I was also told this by my endocrinologist and you know how trans doctors can be.
Something about the timing of it being introduced impacting breast growth as well, i think i read something about tanner stage three? Its been a long time and i stopped taking P because it was expensive and i didnt care enough
there arent enough studies to say anything for sure abt P tho. queerdoc recommends starting P 6 months in at a low dose and slowly upping the dose as breasts develop. the theory is that estrogen causes growth of new breast tissue while progesterone slows the growth but facilitates a round shape. there really needs to be more studies on this. i was mostly wanting P for the sexual function but i think i can wait to ensure my breasts turn out right
i looked into that and im p sure that is only bc they want to make sure ur doing well on estrogen before adding a second medication. like make sure ur hormone levels are stable and you dont have any bad reactions to E. i saw a few trans ppl on hrt subreddits who had endos give them E and P on day one
Oh interesting!
