Not exactly a revelation to Hexbear users but it’s a shower thought I just had.

Death to America.

It’s really enraging to know that people care more about “decorum” and “civility” and the image of democracy than the real realities it creates. I hate this country so much man.

The West Wingification of an entire country

But actually worse somehow. Like a monkey paw version of “I wish the US actually operated like West Wing!” monkey paw curls

You’ll get all the liberal masturbation over civility and none of the liberals actually reaching anything that could remotely be viewed as a “solution.” Everything will just get shittier and shittier, the liberals will openly embrace fascists, you’re fucked. But you’ll be told to remain calm, breathe that oxygen deep…

Reminder of the time a bunch of Obama staffers were giving a tour to west wing writers and were all excited to show them where the characters from the show would be, and the writers were just like “okay but that was just a tv show, what about the stuff that actually happens?”

Big agree! It’s so frustrating we’d rather see a president care about his political “opponent” (big air quotes on that) than the actual politics of the world HE has allowed to exist. It’s so upsetting.

after all he has a lot more in common with Trump, as a rich powerful white rapist who could be assassinated

it’s not even empathy, it’s sympathy
